SoGreen is a European research collaboration integrating the four leading longitudinal social science surveys to track how people across Europe experience and respond to climate change. By adding a green module and spatial data to these existing health and socioeconomic panels, SoGreen aims at providing new insights to inform fair and inclusive green transition policies.

The second SoGreen webinar took place on March 18th 2026 and examined how the SoGreen module (Savaş et al., 2025) is being implemented across multiple research infrastructures.
SoGreen supports the design of inclusive, spatially informed sustainability policies — ensuring green transition policies is just and inclusive, for all people, in all places. Its project goals are:
Harmonised Data & Tools
Develop harmonised survey modules and contextual data to capture the social dimensions of Europe’s green transition.
Spatially grounded research
Integrate geospatial data, thereby enabling regional analysis of how environmental change affects different social groups.
Dashboards & Visualisations
Build interactive tools that visualise cross-national survey data and regional indicators, making complex data accessible.
Knowledge Mobilisation Lab
Create a space for dialogue between researchers, policymakers, and civil society to turn data into actionable solutions for green policies.
The 36 month-long project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon INFRATECH programme.
